Olly Ruggles AKA Understate is a core member of the Subvert team, as both a resident DJ & promoter. Understate is known for his love of all things Dark & Minimal, with a passion for labels such as Critical & Overview, Understate’s mixes are one long roller journey, with a sprinkling of classic D&B and Dancefloor thrown in to add a variety of energy to the set. With a deep passion for the scene and a champion of underground music, Understate prides himself on showcasing tracks from lesser-known producers and digs deep to play the tunes that you won’t find on Beatport or Spotify.

St. Mary’s Church Restoration Project
St. Mary’s Church is a well-known landmark in Shrewsbury, now used as a cultural venue. Though no longer a place of worship, it remains a key part of the community. The upkeep of this historic building is expensive, and we’re collecting donations to help preserve it for future generations.
Soldiers of Shropshire Museum
The Soldiers of Shropshire Museum showcases the history of the county’s military regiments. It’s important to preserve these stories, not to promote war, but to remember the people and their experiences. Our support will help keep this history accessible to everyone.
