Sustainability
LOOPFEST is committed to becoming one of the greenest multi-venue festivals in the UK. From reducing waste and emissions to supporting local communities and promoting sustainable travel, we’re building a festival that’s better for people and the planet. As LOOPFEST continues to grow, we’re also expanding our efforts to make sure that growth is responsible, inclusive, and future-focused.
Environmental Practices
LOOPFEST is reducing waste with reusable cups, refillable water stations, compostable serveware, and on-site recycling. We work with local providers to minimise landfill and keep the festival as green as possible. Most of our power comes from mains supply or low-emission generators, paired with efficient lighting and sound systems across all stages.
Community & Social Responsibility
We prioritise local talent, crew, and suppliers from across the West Midlands, supporting our region’s economy and creative community. Food and drink vendors are also encouraged to source ingredients locally wherever possible.
Travel & Transport
We encourage greener ways to get to LOOPFEST — from public transport and ride-shares to cycling and walking. We actively promote the festival in towns with train links to Shrewsbury and work with local venues to ensure key locations are easy to access without a car.
Accessibility & Inclusion
Sustainability includes people. LOOPFEST is designed to be inclusive — from step-free venue access to diverse programming and free events that reduce cost barriers. We’re committed to making the festival open to all, regardless of background or ability.
